Everything went very well and I moved on to the next stages—impressions, fixed prosthetics, etc.
Now, after two years, I can honestly say it was worth the entire investment.

Every procedure is performed under conscious sedation administered by the anesthesiologist.You’ll feel very relaxed and may drift off at times while you wait for your new smile.
Conscious sedation is different from general anesthesia: you won’t be completely unconscious, but relaxed and semi-aware, pain-free, and highly comfortable.

The “fixed teeth on dental implants” technique involves full rehabilitation of the upper arches using 4 or 6 dental implants.

Surgical procedure
The dental implant placement procedure is performed by Dr. Corrado Cazacu and his team. It may involve tooth extractions, implant placement, and certain special techniques such as PRF – accelerated healing, bone grafting, and sinus lift.
These procedures are performed under conscious sedation, which means the team includes an anesthesiologist (ATI) who administers the technique and monitors the patient’s vital signs throughout the entire procedure.
Conscious sedation is different from general anesthesia because the patient remains conscious and can respond to the doctor’s requests, but is extremely relaxed thanks to the substances administered by the anesthesiologist.
As a result, patients feel no pain at all and may even fall asleep during the procedure—an especially important aspect, particularly for those with health issues.
Final restorations
4–6 months after the surgical procedure, we begin the final restoration stage, which requires at least 3 visits: the final impression, the try-in, and the fitting of the final restorations.
Double digital impressions guarantee a predictable long-term treatment, without complications for dental implants. With a classic impression or a single scanner, there is a risk that the restoration will be fixed under tension -> which increases the risk of fracture of the restoration or the implants.
The try-in is a mock-up of the final restoration, where patients can preview their future final restorations. This is the moment when they choose the shape and color of the teeth, according to their own preferences.
The last appointment is when we fit the final restorations, which are made of zirconia on a titanium framework. Internationally, this is considered the best type of restoration. The restorations made in DentOP clinics are digital and screw-retained, which means that once every 6 months they can be removed in the office and cleaned.

With local anesthesia and, if necessary, conscious sedation, the dental implant placement procedure is completely painless. You might feel the anesthetic injections for a few seconds, after which the area becomes fully numb. Once the anesthesia wears off, prescribed pain medication will take effect to prevent any discomfort. Depending on the complexity of the procedure and each patient’s individual response, medication dosages are adjusted to ensure the patient’s comfort in the surgical area.
To safely place a dental implant, we need to perform a series of tests before starting the procedure. Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) must be below 7%, and blood glucose on the day of the procedure must be below 180 mg/dL. If your blood sugar is well-controlled, you are taking your prescribed medication, and your values are within the indicated range, then the implant will heal similarly to patients without diabetes.
This is, in fact, the primary indication given by doctors. The fixed dental prosthesis technique on dental implants is recommended for all patients whose teeth are affected by periodontal disease. First, the affected teeth are extracted, the local infection is cleaned, the implants are placed, and bone grafting is performed to remodel the affected bone – all of these are done in a single session.
In most situations, it is actually advisable to place the dental implant in the same session as the tooth extraction, as long as the bone allows it. This way, we can shorten the waiting period until a crown can be fixed onto that implant. With the help of bone grafting, we can ensure better healing of the bone and gum after tooth extraction and dental implant placement.
With modern technologies such as PRF (growth factors) collected from the patient’s plasma, and based on a well-planned treatment strategy following a CT scan analysis, it is even recommended to place the dental implant in the same session as the tooth extraction.
Exceptions include situations where the patient presents with an acute infection with an abscess, radicular cysts, or bone loss caused by advanced destruction due to periodontal disease (this varies from case to case). In these situations, it is advisable to first wait for the area to heal for approximately 4-6 months, and only then proceed with dental implant placement.
