What are Dr. Cazacu Corrado’s indications after tooth extraction?

Tooth extraction involves an intervention following which a tooth is removed from the oral cavity. Dr. Cazacu Corrado recommends a series of indications to follow in case we have just gone through such an extraction in order to have a faster healing.

What is prohibited?

The Specialist recommends not to rinse the mouth in the first 12 hours to avoid removing the clot.To produce vasodilation through the consumption of hot food or liquids, exposure to the sun, hot showers or baths, or intense physical exertion. To produce vasoconstriction by smoking (at least 48-72 hours after the intervention), continuing to smoke we can slow down healing, and the blood will no longer be able to fill the alveolus and form the clot necessary for healing.

Here are the most important recommendations in the post-operative healing process:

Semi-liquid diet Oral hygiene – resume the next day with toothpaste and a toothbrush with soft bristles.Cold compresses or ice packs for 15min/hour for the first two days.Drug treatment prescribed by the doctor – The prescription with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories is taken and it is also very important to follow the indications as prescribed by the doctor. Dr. Cazacu Corrado is the only Dento-Alveolar Surgery specialist in Romania accredited by the international ZagaCenter network based in Barcelona. Within this network we find clinics in New York, Hong Kong, London, Montreal and renowned professionals, specialized in the rehabilitation of the most complex cases.
