The old implants no longer helped him eat properly. Here’s how his treatment went
Mr. E. presented himself with a series of old implants in his jaw, which no longer helped him to feed properly. At the bottom, at the mandible, the patient had only a few roots left.
During a consultation with Dr. Cazacu Corrado – Specialist in Dento-Alveolar Surgery, it was found the need to extract the old implants and the remaining roots and insert 12 dental implants. The intervention was possible thanks to Conscious Sedation, a procedure with which the patient felt absolutely nothing throughout the intervention.
After the intervention, the patient received the provisional works in just 24 hours, i.e. the next day. During the temporary work, patients make sure to adopt a soft diet, based mainly on soups, purees while the implants heal.
After a period of 4-6 months, his teeth could withstand the insertion of the final works after a few periodic check-ups in which we made sure that everything was in order.
