Mrs. Filip underwent the most complex oral rehabilitation at the DentOP clinic, using zygomatic implants.Following a consultation with Dr. Cazacu Corrado, a severe bone retraction was found in the jaw, making it impossible to use conventional implants in the long term. The X-ray attached below illustrates the initial clinical situation.

Surgery and Zygomatic Implants
In a single surgery, 4 zygomatic implants were inserted into the patient’s jaw, and the remaining teeth were extracted from the mandible and 4 conventional implants inserted. Although it was the most complex case of oral rehabilitation, the patient said:
“When I got home, I expected it to be something painful. Instead, I felt absolutely nothing and I felt very good!” Reasons for choosing DentOP Clinic
The patient was convinced to resort to dental implants at the DentOP clinic for the following reasons:
- “I searched a lot on the internet, because I’m a perfectionist person!”
- “One of the criteria was that it is done with Conscious Sedation!”
- “The second important criterion was fixed teeth on zygomatic implants.”

What are zygomatic implants?
Zygomatic implants are a special type of dental implant, designed for patients with severe maxillary bone loss. These implants are longer than conventional ones and are anchored directly into the zygomatic bone (cheekbone bone), providing a stable and durable solution for fixing dentures. You can see on the patient’s panoramic X-ray what the inserted zygomatic implants look like.
Post-intervention benefits
After completing the work, Mrs. Filip regained her culinary pleasures: “I ate an apple, I really wanted it!”Dr. Cazacu Corrado emphasizes the importance of the patient: “Let us always think, regardless of the level we are at, medically and in the interest of the patient.”
