SHE REGAINED HER TEETH AFTER BEING TOLD THAT SHE NO LONGER HAD A CHANCE TO SMILE
In some cases, the bone density of our patients is extremely low and no longer allows for standard rehabilitation with implants.
When bone additions no longer work, we resort to special implants, called zygomatic implants.
Zygomatic dental implants are long implants that are inserted into the jaw (cheekbone). They are used if bone resorption in the jaw area is severe. For more details about zygomatic implants you can watch this video.
This was also the case of our patient who, when she came to the initial consultation, had no teeth in her jaw at all, which gave us no choice but to resort to this technique.
During the surgery, 4 zygomatic implants were inserted in the jaw, and 4 conventional implants in the mandible. These were enough to support a complete and functional tooth!
