Here’s what patients who come to the diaspora to undergo their treatments at the DentOP clinic should know

Several of the patients from the diaspora – Germany, Italy or England have sought solutions to solve their dental problems within the country. We decided to be open to their request and to provide more information to those who come to benefit from dental implants.  Among the most frequent questions we receive are about the duration of the intervention and treatment, the advantages of inserting dental implants in Romania and others that we will answer today together with Luiza – patient manager of the DentOP clinic.

Can the consultation be carried out on the same day, but also the intervention?

“It is advisable for the patient in question to send us an X-ray to see what his dental problems are and how we can help him. If he does not have this possibility, we talk to him on the phone to help us with more information, thus understanding what are the dental problems he is facing. If he wants to do a consultation and intervention on the same day, he will have to do a set of tests, which he will send by email or whatsapp to gain precious time.” – Luiza – patient manager.

How long does the treatment take?

“The treatment with fixed teeth on implants lasts two to three days, which means that today you have the implant insertion intervention with tooth extractions and bone addition (if necessary), and the next day the temporary work is fixed with which the patient stays until the implants heal, and it will be changed with a final zirconium work, Designed to last a lifetime. The controls, the removal of the wires can also be carried out abroad.” “If you opt for the Nobel version, these implants are internationally recognized, so if you want a more detailed check, the keys and other operating instruments can also be found in other dental clinics. If you opt for the Inno version, these implants are more difficult to find outside the borders.”

Is it advantageous to go for a check-up outside the country if we have just benefited from an internationally recognized dental implant?

“The costs of check-ups in other clinics outside the country depend from clinic to clinic, but it is clearly not more expensive than a plane ticket to Romania. If they choose to have a check-up abroad, they are exempt from a trip to Romania, but it is advisable that before they have their check-up, they should notify us and tell us if there is something wrong, and we should recommend the check-up at another clinic abroad.”

How much time do we have to spend in Romania?

“For surgery, two to three days are enough if the analyzes were done in advance, and if the teeth also require root canal treatments, a maximum of one week is needed for the first stage.”

Can periodic sanitation be carried out in another country after the insertion of the works?

“After the period of insertion of the definitive works, patients need sanitation every 6 months and impeccable oral hygiene to increase the life of dental implants. The sanitation of the final works can be carried out in other countries as well, only if the clinic where they go has the respective keys for the implants that the patient has.”

Can I be helped by the insurance house abroad?

“Most of the time the insurance houses in Germany reimburse the amount needed for dental work, all the patient has to do is go to the insurance house where he is registered and ask for the necessary documents, we in the clinic take care of filling them in.”
