Chef Cătăliin Scărlătescu cooks for DentOP patients with Dr. Cazacu Corrado
Since the patients of the dental implantology clinics, DentOP, are in certain stages of dental rehabilitation, Dr. Cazacu Corrado aimed to offer them, together with Chef Cătălin Scărlătescu, some ideas for nutritious and tasty preparations. Thus, patients can maintain their health even during periods when they do not have a fully functional chewing.
“Most of our patients have been dealing with dental problems for a very long time, and they have completely forgotten how to enjoy food. After they step into our clinic and go through the implant insertion intervention, they have a period of 4-6 months in which they must consume soft preparations and not force the temporary teeth, respectively the dental implants. We know that for some of them this period can be difficult, so we wanted to come to their aid with ideas for tasty preparations, which would provide them with the necessary nutrients for the healing period of the implants!” – Dr Cazacu Corrado, Specialist in Dento-Alveolar Surgery.
Chef Cătălin Scărlătescu and Dr. Cazacu Corrado joined forces and managed to offer patients in the post-operative period 3 reinterpreted dishes, which would follow the doctor’s instructions: risotto with seafood, stewed cabbage, and tomato tortellini.

But their activity was not limited to preparations for patients who have just passed the implant insertion intervention, but they also thought about those whose final teeth were fixed on dental implants.
“After fixing the final teeth, our patients are eager to smile, to speak confidently, but also to eat the dishes they once adored, when their teeth allowed them to bite or eat something crunchy!” – Dr Cazacu Corrado, Specialist in Dento-Alveolar Surgery.
For these patients, Dr Cazacu Corrado and Chef Cătălin Scărlătescu have prepared baked beef chops, crispy chicken burgers and crispy veal schnitzels.
The patients were also present at the preparation of the recipes, which they themselves chose! They managed to learn from the Chef’s expertise in the kitchen, so that they can then prepare at home what they want to eat.
